Participants, visiting the festival as a day guest without taking their car on the field, do not need to register.
Kite flyers, who want to take their cars on the field need a parking permit.
Day visitors with little baggage are recommended on using the close by car parks.
Other parking spots within walking distance will be hard to find and the parking possibilities on the field are limited and are not accessible when too many visitors are present.
Participants, visiting the festival for the whole weekend and staying on the field, need to register.
Breakfast is available for registered participants on Saturday and Sunday.
After Saturday's firework, the airfield crew invites all kite flyers to an After-Show-Kite-Party with music and well-priced snacks in the hangar. Feel free to join us for some partying and chatting.
Your information from your registration form will be taken into account when the area breakup is designed or changed according to the weather conditions.
Therefore, please state the kites you focus upon on the registration form.
The maximum length of the line must not exceed 600 m. The kite line must be marked by red / white flags at intervals of 100 m by day, by red and white lights at night so that they are recognizable from all directions from other aircraft.

Hints for first timers: The area, the “Lippeweiden”, is a big grass field. Even under dry weather conditions, the grass will be wet in the morning and in the evening.
Please make sure you bring appropriate shoes.
For the night flying, please bring pocket lights. Many kites are supplied with reflectors, you would not see them if you didn’t bring a light.
