Information for kiteflyers and kite clubs
Kiteflyers and kite clubs who wish to participate as day guests without driving their car to the site do not need to register.
Anyone wishing to enter the site by car requires a parking permit.
We recommend the parking garages within walking distance for day visitors who only arrive with small luggage.
Other parking spaces will be hard to find within a 15-minute walk this weekend. Access to the site and the parking facilities there are very limited and only possible at times when there are few visitors.
Kiteflyers and kite clubs who wish to spend the whole weekend on the meadow as permanent guests must register.
Breakfast will be provided for registered participants on Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday after the fireworks, the crew of the Luenen aviation group invites you to a cozy after-show kite party for all kite flyers with music and catering at fair conditions in the hangar. Come all and celebrate with us!
Your registration details will be taken into account for the pitches and adapted to the current wind and weather conditions.
Therefore, please tell us your kite priorities when you register.
The maximum line length may not exceed 600 m during the day and 100 m at night. The lines of the kites must be marked at intervals of 100 m by red/white flags during the day and by red and white lights at night so that they can be seen from all directions by other aircraft.
Lucas Maserski will host the program. Your music wishes can be taken into account, provided you bring your music on a USB stick.
As we are dependent on the license fees of our event partners to finance the festival, commercial activities are only permitted with a corresponding license from the organizers.

The area, the “Lippeweiden”, is a huge meadow, even in dry weather the meadow is dewy in the morning and evening! Please choose appropriate footwear. You should bring flashlights for night kite flying. Some kites are equipped with light-reflecting materials, otherwise you would miss them and find your way home more safely.
